Hello, I’m new to camping and am looking to purchase some durable stainless steel cookware. I’m interested in acquiring at least one pot and one pan without any nonstick coatings, as well as a teapot. It would be great if the pots and pans have handles. Additionally, having extras like plates, silverware, and cups would be a bonus. I would appreciate any recommendations based on what you use and love. Thank you!
I generally use regular stainless steel kitchen cookware for camping, as it doesn’t necessarily have to be camping-specific.

I tried using my regular cookware, but space is limited in my sedan, and I’m looking for something more compact.
If space is an issue, you might consider skipping the teapot and just boiling water in a pot. Also, consider using a single versatile pot instead of separate pots and pans, which can save space and weight.
Stanley offers some good stainless steel cookware sets that might fit your needs. They have sets that include pots, pans, and utensils, all designed to be compact.

I can vouch for the Stanley frying pan set, it’s excellent for cooking outdoors.
For space-saving cups, consider military stainless cups or foldable plastic ones. If you’re looking for a pan, check out the Swedish hunters pan which is compact but requires maintenance like seasoning.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m intrigued by the Swedish carbon steel pans and might pick one up to try.

I use the STANSPORT Heavy Duty 7-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set. It’s quite durable and nests together for easy storage, though it is on the heavier side.
I use parts of the Stanley cook set, along with a titanium pot for boiling water. For drinking, I use a collapsible silicone cup. I rarely use plates, preferring to eat directly from the cooking pot.
For durable options, look into brands like Stanley, MSR, Fire Maple, and Sea to Summit for their stainless steel selections.
I started with a basic aluminum set from Coleman, which I wouldn’t recommend. I later upgraded to an MSR stainless set, which has lasted over 20 years. For car camping, I also bring a cast iron skillet.
For high-quality stainless steel gear, check out Firebox Stove. They have excellent pots and plates that are sturdy but not necessarily lightweight.

After considering all options, my wife found a stainless camp cookware set she liked online, but the fry pan had a non-stick coating. We opted for a separate carbon steel pan instead. Thanks for all the advice!
