Really my only other criteria are that it has good ventilation with covers/awnings so you can still get airflow in the rain, isnt a total headache to setup and take down, and less importantly it’d be nice if it had at least one screen window so I can see the views while in the tent. Least importantly it might be cool to be able to stand up in the tent or at least sit up in a small chair, but I could go without that.
This will actually be for two people, but we want to be really comfortable and have plenty of extra room. I’m 6’2" and pretty large and trying to share a 2 person tent has been rough. Also this won’t be for backpacking, only car camping and maybe cart in, so space and weight aren’t really an issue.

We have a favorite Klymit cross Canyon 4. Because the body is largely mesh, even with the rain fly on, it breathes extremely well. Since we camp in Florida, ventilation is crucial. We’ve been largely satisfied with it. It’s ideal for vehicle camping even though it’s not the lightest or most compact tent.

For the record, I would search for a six-person tent if it is intended for four people to sleep in it.

Gazelle t4, sets up in seconds and can be done on your own. The biggest problem with it is that folded up. It’s so long that you pretty much need to put it on the roof of your vehicle on your crossbars. go away.

The browning Glacier 4p is on sale for $200 at Midway. I own two of those. This vehicle camping tent is fantastic. I would pay $300 for each person again. Strong tent with poles that are thicker than your thumb. 6’2" in the center

I have a Core 6 Instant Cabin from Costco (they have it other places but I love Costco’s return policy) that has been a really amazing tent. I got some screw down pegs from Amazon that you put into the ground w/ a drill and this bad boy survived 40 mph gusts and also sat in an inch of water without flooding. I have been very happy w the price and performance of this tent, it is an easy up so it takes 1-2 minutes to assemble. For 2 people, it is. Dry spacious and set up a rain fly to cook under and you have yourself a sweet little setup! Highly recommend this tent!
