Power plant query

When an appliance is turned on and utilized, I want to be able to plug the power station into a regular plug to power it, and the power station will remain in “standby” mode at all times. where power is sent to the device without requiring you to first turn on the power station before plugging it in.

Are there any power plants in existence that could provide this function? Does the name of this feature exist? Regards!

That’s more like a UPS rather than a power supply. CyberPower and APC make good UPS units.

Do those need to be kept plugged in all the time?

My ultimate goal is to have a plug for my sectional recliner so that I can power the motors without having to run the power supply across the floor of my living room to a conventional outlet. When a button is pressed to move the recliner, anything with a battery, a small size, and the ability to accept a conventional 240v plug in will power the motor.

For this purpose, specific furniture battery supply are made, but none of them seem to be able to support two recliners at once. Stupidly, each of the chairs on my sectiona Do those need to be kept plugged in all the time?

Keep in mind that a hot AC plug draws power from the battery even when not in use.

All powerstations I’m aware of switch off their AC plugs after a short timeout to avoid battery discharge.

I think just running a cable to the next socket would be much easier than starting to juggling around with powerstations
