I really like my Ozark Trail ConnecTents. I have the one in the picture, but I’m looking for something similar that’s better quality with thicker material. I enjoy camping but also want to be comfortable. Sometimes that means using an AC or heater (I have the EcoFlow Wave 2), which works great, but this tent doesn’t seal well, so it doesn’t hold the temperature. I wish they’d release a Dark Rest version.
What I love about this tent:
10’x10’ size with straight walls
Plenty of headroom to stand up
Easy to set up and pack away
I’ve done some searching and feel like exactly what I want may not exist, but I thought I’d ask if anyone knows of something close. I’m open to suggestions—anything that would work well would be great.
There are canvas tents made for year-round use. They have straight walls, are super sturdy, and often come with options for wood stove ventilation, so you could use your heater easily.

I’ve looked at some of those, and that might be the way to go. Definitely some nice options. I’m also interested in the air-up ones—no poles sounds like a win.
I use an EZ-Up tent cube on a 10x10 Eurmax canopy, and I add side walls to help insulate it when running an AC inside. Seems similar to what you’re aiming for but with added insulation.

For a step up, check out a canvas sheepherder tent. A 10x10 would be just as easy to set up but heavier. Or, you could cover your current tent with heavy-duty tarps to improve insulation, though it wouldn’t look as nice.
That setup you’re showing is more like a pop-up than a tent. I have a similar 10x10 pop-up with walls but no floor. The one you’ve got is great for fair weather but not serious camping.

Totally agree, which is why I’m looking for an upgrade.
@Zayne
Good luck! The only square designs I’ve seen with better durability are canvas tents, often used in reenactments or mountain man gatherings, but they can be pricey.
I’ve been happy with this one for a few trips: https://a.co/d/5FSxV19. One big difference is the solid tent fabric ceiling rather than mesh, which helps with warmth.

A Eureka Copper Canyon or Jade Canyon has a similar shape. They’re not making tents anymore, sadly, but they’re solid choices. We’ve had one since 2011, and it’s still going strong with a little maintenance.
