I’ve been using a UCO spork and really like it. I’m looking for other recommendations though. I prefer sporks but I’m open to separate pieces as well.
Snow Peak all day
I’m a fan of the Snow Peak titanium fork and spoon set. They offer a spork too, but I find them less effective as either a fork or spoon. For eating meals out of freeze-dried bags, the Toaks long handle spoon with a polished bowl is my top choice. It’s more effective for scraping the bottom of bags than their spork version.
Any long-handled titanium spoon with a polished bowl works well. I’ve been using a ‘lixada’ model from AliExpress that cost $5 and it’s lasted years. It’s got the important features: a polished bowl and long handle. I had a spork before, but the tines really interfere with its function as a spoon.
I’ve had my Sea to Summit titanium spork for over 15 years and it’s still my go-to.
I swear by my Toaks. It was reliable for 6 months straight on the Appalachian Trail and it’s still in great shape.
Light My Fire! I’m not a fan of sporks, so I opt for a fork on one end and a spoon on the other.
I prefer Snow Peak, but I also use Sea to Summit utensils and like those too. I haven’t tried TOAKS, but I’ve heard good things.
The Snow Peak long titanium spork is my all-in-one favorite.
While combining the drawbacks of a spoon and a fork into one might seem like a poor way to save on packing space, if you’re embracing the absurdity, you might as well go all in with the Snow Peak spork.
