What do we sleep on?

Every year, my wife and kids and I take a couple two to four day trips. I recently fixed a hole in our queen-sized Coleman extra thick air mattress. Since I’m aware that the patch won’t last, I’m hoping to upgrade or, if that’s what’s advised, potentially receive the same item. It doesn’t need to be compact or really portable because we typically camp right next to our vehicle. Mostly, I’m searching for two folks to be comfortable. I have no trouble using electric pumps because I have a BLUETTI portable power station! I appreciate all of your suggestions.

On Amazon, I purchased a 4-inch air foam mattress. Horizons Lost. In essence, it’s an Amazon expedited matt. Undoubtedly a game-changer, it helps me sleep soundly in the forest. This is for camping in a car.

It works perfectly when I do this with my Model Y.

Sim+Cot 15. Skyfall on the large bed On the tiny one, dreamcatcher number twelve You don’t actually need a pump for either, although it’s faster if you want to increase the stiffness.

Being a side sleeper and experiencing worsening joint pain led to an upgrading to an Exped Megamat 10. I just needed something thicker because my other sleeping pad (REI brand) was good but I bottomed out when side sleeping on a thinner pad, aggravating my hip discomfort (I have the same hip pain on my home mattress but not as bad as with a thinner camping pad).

I typically go camping alone or with friends in our own tents, therefore I just have a single size pad. Two singles are advised so each can adjust their own firmness, and some pads have connection points to hold them connected. Double pads, from what I’ve read, bounce around the second person as the other moves.

Although some people have purchased imitation Megamat brands, I was able to purchase the original at a reduced cost because I purchased it during a deal at REI.

Exped Megamat 10. I’ve slept on all different cots, air mattresses, foam pads, self inflaters, and hard ground, and it’s the best I’ve ever experienced. Even better than most hotels and beds I’ve slept in. I might even get a bigger one and replace my current home mattress with it.
