Suggestions for small business bag makers?

I already know the big brands you’d find at REI, but I’m looking for something unique from small businesses or independent makers.

I’ve found a few on Etsy and GarageGrownGear, but I suspect there are more out there. Specifically, I’m in the market for a ~20L daypack for hiking, but feel free to share any of your favorite bag makers. Reviews and opinions are welcome. Thanks!

Check out Frost River—they might have something that fits your needs. Their products are built to last.

Frost River and Duluth Pack are great options. A lot of the Etsy and Instagram sellers are just copying their designs, and they’re not always cheaper.

Yeah, I’m finding a lot of copies or people just slapping logos on generic bags. Thanks for pointing me toward these options!

Superior Wilderness Designs makes some excellent gear.

That’s exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to find. I hadn’t heard of them before—thanks!

@Ira
They’re great! I haven’t purchased anything myself, but my friends who backpack a lot swear by their gear.

If you need more space, check out Durston Wapta. For smaller options, LiteAF, Chicken Tramper, and LiteHeart Gear are worth a look.

Kifaru makes some awesome bags that might work for you.

I’ve been using the Gossamer Gear Kumo (36L), and it’s fantastic. It’s my main backpacking bag, but because some of the space is external, it works well as a daypack too. It’s ultralight and very comfortable.

@Jael
Good to know! Their 25L pack is on my short list, so it’s nice to hear positive feedback about their gear.
