We received a US Amazon voucher for Christmas, but we’re based in Australia and are facing high shipping costs. We’re looking to buy some inflatable camping pillows that are both affordable and close to the size of standard pillows. We’re interested in the Therm-A-Rest and Nemo Fillo pillows for their foam layers, which make them feel more like traditional pillows. However, shipping for these is prohibitively expensive. We’ve also looked at Naturehike and possibly Trekology, which may have foam. Can anyone recommend budget-friendly options that are large and don’t feel like a balloon?
I’ve used a Trekology inflatable pillow, and it’s quite comfortable but it might be too light and slippery for some. It worked well for me on a long trip in Japan.

Thanks! Does the Trekology pillow feel like a regular pillow or is it noisy and balloon-like?
I recently bought a Sea to Summit pillow, which is really comfortable but hasn’t been tested on a trip yet. Sadly, Amazon US won’t ship this model to Australia.

It’s frustrating that the Foam Core range isn’t available for shipping here. I’ve been considering another model, but it’s not inflatable, so I’m worried about the lack of firmness adjustment. Has anyone tried these?
The Exped Megapillow is a good option, almost regular-sized. I also recommend the Flextail, which has a foam layer and is inflatable. It’s smaller but comfortable.

Exped’s shipping issues are a blocker. Is this the Flextail model you mentioned? It looks right, but I’m concerned about the smaller size for comfortable sleeping.
The Nemo Fillo is fantastic, got mine on sale. Unfortunately, the larger sizes have high shipping costs to Australia.

That’s exactly the issue I’m facing. The smaller size has reasonable shipping, but I’m worried it won’t be enough.
I prefer using my clothes in a stuff sack for a pillow to an inflatable, but if you’re set on an inflatable, the smaller ones like from Exped are surprisingly effective. It sounds like the gift card mix-up was an honest mistake.
@Uma
Yeah, it was definitely an oversight. We managed to use the voucher last year after some hassle, and it helped upgrade our camping gear significantly.
The Trekology pillow I got is surprisingly large for an inflatable. It might be a good option if you’re looking for something substantial.

That sounds promising, thanks! How does it feel in terms of firmness and noise?
