Seeking advice on choosing an inflatable camping pillow

I’m planning to get an inflatable camping pillow for my backpacking adventures and have a gift voucher to use. I usually sleep on my side and front and prefer a flatter, thinner pillow. I believe you can adjust the inflation to your liking. Can anyone recommend a good option? I want to make sure I choose the right one since pillows are quite personal.

I’ve had a good experience with the Trekology Aluft 2.0. It’s comfortable and lightweight, perfect for side sleepers. I even added a homemade pillow top with shredded memory foam for extra comfort.

I’m a side sleeper and own two inflatable pillows. Although you can adjust the firmness, I find that my head isn’t well-stabilized, which feels uncomfortable. Honestly, I’ve had better luck using a rolled-up sweatshirt or jacket as a pillow.

I agree, a rolled-up sweatshirt with tennis shoes inside works best for me too. It’s also a great way to save weight.

Pillow preferences are highly personal. I’m a side sleeper who likes a taller pillow. The Nemo Filo Elite was too flat for me, but it might suit your preference for a flatter pillow. I’ve had issues with Sea to Summit pillows breaking, so I switched to Trekology which has worked well for me.

I use the Nemo Fillo Elite for backpacking. My partner, who prefers more cushioning, combines it with a Nemo Elite Luxury. She’s used to having multiple pillows at home, and this setup works well for us while camping.

I thought you were talking about something else entirely at first!

Adding to the conversation about Fillo pillows, I use the standard Fillo Luxury and it’s fantastic. It has a foam layer, which I prefer for added comfort. I don’t inflate it much so it stays quite flat, which might be what you’re looking for.
