Opinions on sleeping bag?

Thinking of getting this for camping in around 0 degree Celsius weather, anyone knows if it’s any good?

That won’t be enough for your needs. The temperature ratings on sleeping bags are for survival, not comfort. I’ve tried some products from that brand, especially their tents, and wouldn’t recommend them for serious use.

Their flannels are great, but I’d have to agree about their camping gear. It’s worth investing in something more reliable for serious outdoor activities.

Actually, this particular sleeping bag has been tested according to DIN EN ISO 23537 standards. Its survival rating is -18°C, and the comfort rating is at 3°C.

The limit rating is -2°C. I tend to be warm and have used similar sleeping bags near their limit temperature comfortably in just boxers and a low R-value sleeping pad. If you usually feel cold, stick to the comfort rating unless you plan to layer up or use additional warmth sources.

Thanks for the clarification on the testing standards and ratings.

I haven’t tried this model, but generally, it’s a good idea to choose a sleeping bag with a comfort rating lower than the temperatures you expect. Keep in mind that the insulation might degrade over time, especially in humid conditions. Also, the bag seems to have a narrow cut, which could limit movement and insulation inside. The price point is reasonable, though.

It looks a bit cramped for comfort.

For temperatures around 0°C, I once used a Coleman mummy bag rated for -18°C. It was not warm enough, and I had to sleep fully clothed. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of sales going on; if you’re car camping, a synthetic 0°F bag would be a better choice. I currently use a 30°F and a 15°F Nemo Disco, both of which would suit 0°C well but not much colder.
