I recently left my large 1.9L (64 ounces) Klean Kanteen on the train and need to replace it quickly. What I liked about my Klean Kanteen: it’s large (1.9L/64 ounces), it’s not insulated so it’s fairly light, and it’s made of metal so I could heat water on a fire while camping. I’ve checked local stores in Germany, but they’re out of stock and have been waiting on deliveries since late summer. Any recommendations for a similar bottle?
Considering your needs, you might like the Heavy Cover Titanium Canteen, it’s similar and you can get it directly from Keith for a good price. Another option is the Silverant titanium bottle available on Amazon for quick delivery. Otherwise, Klean Kanteens really set the standard for uninsulated steel bottles.
@Ren
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve only really used my bottle for heating water once, and I rarely camp. I’d still prefer a metal bottle as I’m not a fan of plastic ones and metal is lighter than glass.
@Ainsley
Understood, it sounds like the requirement for heating might not be as critical then. There are plenty of great metal bottle options out there that might suit your daily needs better.
You could try finding a new Klean Kanteen online, or check large retailers even if it’s not a local store.

I should’ve mentioned, I’m based in Germany and options like Walmart aren’t available here, but thanks!
@Ainsley
Surely there are German stores that serve a similar purpose as Walmart. It’s just about finding the right retail options near you.

I’ve tried a few local outdoor and sports stores already, but they’re also waiting on new stock. I’m looking for recommendations that might be readily available.
Have you checked thrift stores? They sometimes have bottles, though it varies by location.

Our local thrift stores mainly focus on clothing and bags, but it’s a good suggestion, thanks!
Check out the Miir bottles, they have both double wall and single wall options that might meet your needs.
Consider looking for a stainless steel growler, they come in 64 oz size and are typically lightweight and durable.
Maybe try searching on a European eBay site for a quick find?
If durability is a concern, consider a Nalgene. They’re plastic but incredibly tough. I’ve even recovered one after it fell off a car roof!

The question was about metal bottles, though. It’s good to have alternatives, but it seems the preference here is metal.
@Rin
Just sharing options, as sometimes we might need to consider different materials.
