I wouldn’t recommend paying the extra fee for stainless steel in this case.
The aluminum version has served me well for boiling water over the past four years. Consider how you’ll use it before deciding.

I’m weighing the pros and cons between this and a canister stove, especially for situations where I might run out of fuel.

This stove is compact and works well enough for boiling water, which is mainly what I use it for on hikes.

Carrying a tool like a leatherman makes using solid fuel tablets much easier.
If you’re set on this model and it’s the only way to get it, you might just have to accept the extra cost.
The construction of that pot looks really solid and well-made.
Consider titanium options like Toaks available on Aliexpress for a potentially better value.
At that price, I’d go for titanium instead.

TOAKS and other brands offer the same quality of Chinese titanium as those found on AliExpress.

I own both TOAKS and Evernew gear, and both perform well. The origin of manufacturing doesn’t necessarily reflect quality.
