Help finding sleeping pad 70x40

I have an OvrLnd Bivy truck camper on order and am looking for a sleeping pad that is 70"x40". Preferably in 3" height but that is less important to the other dimensions.

Can be inflatable or foam. Any help finding suitable pads would be greatly appreciated. I am having trouble finding any pads which cover the full dimensions of the sleeping platform.

Thank you!

@Jo
Thanks! That was the route I was thinking of if I couldn’t find a traditional camping pad which matched the platform’s dimensions.

Make sure the mattress doesn’t have fiberglass in it before you take the cover off and start cutting.

@Sage
Ah, good tip! That definitely wouldn’t be fun.

Have you looked for a custom foam shop in your area? They’re great.

Unfortunately I live in a very rural area with extremely limited services.

I’ve looked online but most offerings have horror story reviews.

@Riley
Darn :disappointed:

I had a custom Paco Pad made: https://jpwinc.com/product-category/paco-pads/?v=0b3b97fa6688

Thanks! I will reach out to them and see what they can do.

What did yours cost? How has it held up over time? Anything that you would have done differently in hindsight?

About the biggest I have seen is the queen size Exped MegaMat 10

Thanks!

After double checking the dimensions of the sleeping platform it looks like it can accommodate a pad that is 73" long x 40" wide and with the pop up closed, allows 3" of height for the pad.

I think the Exped Deep Sleep Duo - Medium at 72x41.3x3 fits the bill almost perfectly.

Expand it over you cab and gain more room.

That has been an ongoing dilemma.

I want the camper to be as streamlined as possible as the Tacoma it is going on is my daily driver.

Also, I have a rack system on the roof where I carry a roam box, recovery boards and a small basket for wet neoprene items ‘surf / scuba’.

Still on the fence though, as the cab over offers a full queen sized bed but as of now it’s just me and the dog on most trips.

@Riley
Why not collapsible over the cab or better yet make it aerodynamic by stopping at the edge of the windshield and angle it to allow better airflow. Instead of a Queen go with a Full.
