I’m actively looking for actual hiking/camping clothes because I’m from the desert, but last year I went up north and I slipped and fell on my ass 4 times and was freezing in my skinny jeans and vans and a thin hoodie

So when I stumbled upon this, I grabbed it and ran!
I have a Columbia outlet store not far from me that dumps their entire winter inventory for absolutely nothing. I saw a jacket at Kohls for $199, remembered the Columbia store and it was on clearance for $24.99
Not some defect, manufactured different, weird size. The real deal. So I bought two. lol

Winter coats may as well not have price tags. I’ve bought coats with $350 on the tag but $29 at the register. I started to feel that they are like jewelry; designed to make you feel like you’re getting a huge discount but they never sell for full price.

yea, I’d say real price for this is somewhere between $30-80 depending on season and how much insulation it actually has (very little judging by the picture)
it’s definitely not made for hiking though.

Trust me I’m not doing like much hiking but I appreciate you telling me this, I’m not a regular Columbia buyer so I saw the tag in awe and looked on some websites but I definitely think it’s worth around that range

still a good buy! and it’ll work for hiking, but it’s not breathable and typically you wouldn’t wear a parka hiking unless it’s extreme conditions. but for mild hikes you’ll be fine in it and it’ll keep you warm

True I feel like that’s with anything you buy from a store full price nowadays they make you think things are getting made with gold
You should first check whether it is waterproof or not. It is really good for the price.

I just checked and it is water resistant and insulated, thank you! It was $50 at Ross but was reduced to $30 I was so happy
